We use pulsed light technology that targets and applies light to the affected areas, which coagulates the blood vessel and breaks the pigmented lesion into tiny particles; these then disappear or rise to the surface of the skin as scabs, which are naturally exfoliated within one to two weeks.

A good candidate for laser acne removal treatments is someone with persistent acne scars or active acne who is in overall good health.


Sharplight’s laser Acne Treatment management system equipped with a 420nm technology offers the skin a solution that effectively treats acneic lesions with comfort through the delivery of non-ionizing light energy delivered with a blue wavelength that penetrates the epidermal layers causing a porphyrin reaction.


The mechanism of action is that of a selective porphyrin reaction as acne is caused by Propionibacterium. The P. acne bacteria produce porphyrins that absorb the light (peaking at 420nm) and release singlet oxygen, that destroys the bacteria. Acne lesions are reduced by 60%-70%.

How does the treatment work?


Radiofrequency current is formed when charged particles flow through a closed circuit. As the energy meets resistance in the tissue, heat is produced.
